Paul Gilbert--Alligator Farm(Album+Tabs)

On Alligator Farm, guitarist Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big) builds on his songwriting foundation while maintaining his ever present guitar prowess and in the process redefines his role as one of the world's greatest guitar talents. Jeff Martin was a huge help to Gilbert in building his raw ideas into songs, and for getting him to leave the studio often enough to get ideas for new songs. With a 'recorded-live-in-the-studio' feel Gilbert assembled a band of his favorite musicians: Scotty Johnson (guitar and keyboards), Tony Spinner (guitar and vocals), Mike Szuter (bass and vocals), and Jeff Martin (drums and vocals). Even the guitar solos are live on this one! Overall Alligator Farm is raw and full of live energy, and, for the crazed guitar fans, the CD features an instrumental song ("Let The Computer Decide") that features Gilbert's insanely-tuned Ibanez 7-string guitar, as well as the Mozart-based instrumental "Whole Lotta Sonata".
